Editorial Policy

LuxFinance publishes financial content that affects real decisions — taxes, salaries, mortgages. We take our editorial responsibility seriously.

Editorial Standards (YMYL)

Finance content falls under Google's YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) category, which requires the highest standards of expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness (E-E-A-T). We apply these standards across every article, calculator, and guide we publish.

Source Requirements

All content on LuxFinance must:

  • Cite at least one official Luxembourg government source (ACD, guichet.lu, CNS, Chambre des salariés, or equivalent)
  • Link directly to the cited source
  • Be reviewed for accuracy before publication
  • Include a last-updated date

Author Credentials

Articles are written by contributors with demonstrated expertise in Luxembourg tax law, personal finance, or cross-border employment. All author profiles include:

  • Real name and photo
  • Professional credentials and qualifications
  • Areas of expertise

Calculator Methodology

All calculators use official data from the Administration des contributions directes (ACD) and are updated at the start of each fiscal year. Formulas are:

  • Documented in version-controlled configuration files
  • Unit tested against official example calculations
  • Reviewed when tax law changes

Corrections Policy

When errors are identified, we correct them promptly and note the correction at the bottom of the affected article. We do not silently edit errors on YMYL content.

Independence from Advertising

Advertisers have no influence over our editorial content. Sponsored content, if any, is clearly labeled. Calculator results are never influenced by commercial relationships.
